Shaye A. Painter Photography

My name is Shaye Painter. I'm based in Northeast Ohio with roots in south, central Pennsylvania and a love for traveling. I've had a love for photography ever since I can remember and I have been a photographer for over 14 years. I started as a sports photographer for the local newspaper in my hometown and from there studied photojournalism at Kent State University. After graduating from Kent I went on to be an in hospital newborn photographer. To be honest, I always said I would never be a portrait photographer because I always enjoyed capturing moments, over posing or "setting the stage." So, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be doing wedding and portrait photography and loving it, but here I am...doing it and loving every second of it. I love sharing in the smiles and even the tears that come along with capturing special moments in people's lives. 

Over the years I have worked in or been a part of quite a few of the various aspects of events and weddings, from catering to the florals and of course being in numerous weddings. I believe that being a part of all these different aspects of the wedding and event industry has helped me grow as a photographer and given me a different perspective when I'm shooting. At the end of the day though, my ultimate goal is to create a story for you to look back on 25 years, 50 years later and feel like you're there in that moment all over again.
